Thinking Green

Feb 23, 2022

Robert Powell is a mechanical and electrical engineer with a passion for electric vehicle technology. After his first DIY project converting an old motorcycle to a fully electric bike, Robert has been hooked on giving used vehicles a new, more efficient life. Now, Robert is an engineer for Arcimoto, working on highly efficient vehicles designed specifically for urban streets.

In this episode, Robert envisions a world with electric school buses and delivery trucks, quieter roads, and fewer car owners thanks to fully autonomous rideshare services. Are electric jet skis and sailboats in our future? Mo and Robert also discuss how moving away from a global supply chain system may drive costs down, and how repurposing materials in creative ways benefits us all, both environmentally and financially.
